Ultimate Knowledge Institute sets the standard for Information Technology, Information
Assurance and Cyber Security training and consulting services to the Department of
Defense, Federal Agencies, DOD Contracting Partners, and Fortune 500 companies,
including the US Navy, the US Marine Corps, the US Air Force, US Army, Microsoft,
Wyle Laboratories, and Booz Allen Hamilton. Since 1997 UKI has focused our training
and personnel compliance management system on exceeding our customers'
expectations in a cost effective manner that surpasses mission requirements. UKI also
specializes in customizing training courses to meet a client's emerging technology
requirements.

Compliance Management Framework
For the past seven years, Ultimate Knowledge Institute has utilized the Compliance
Management Framework (CMF) in house to track each individual student's training
record. Due to the fact that Federal requirements and DOD mandates now require
commands and organizations to track their IA and Cyber Workforce personnel's
training, UKI is now offering the CMF personnel tracking system to our customers as a
part of the 8570 Compliance Framework. UKI clients are able to request customized
reports detailing the training each individual has received, what professional
certifications each individual holds, what on-the-job training (OJT) the individual has
received and what continuing education is available for Workforce personnel. The CMF
provides one portal for the organization's Cyber Workforce Manager to track and update
information about their entire workforce and it provides one location for the individual to
track all of their professional training and certification.

Certification Exams
Ultimate Knowledge Institute is an approved Pearson VUE and Prometric Testing
Partner. This makes it convenient for our clients IA and IT Workforce to schedule
professional certification exams. UKI will work with your personnel to provide exams at
the end of the training course or exams can be scheduled at a later date. This alleviates
the necessity of sending personnel to an off-site testing location.

    Mentoring & Student Support Process

    Pre Class Support
UKI starts the mentoring and education process well before the classroom event.
Once the Training Site Manager and the client have scheduled the students for the
training event, the students receive a notification email confirming their registration. The
email contains a user account and password to access the UKI Student Portal. A critical
component of the Compliance Management Framework, the student portal is a
customized interface that allows the student to access their individual training schedule
as well as maintaining a virtual training jacket for tracking classes, certifications, on-thejob
    training, and continuing education credits.
The student then selects the upcoming training event and is taken to the class website.
Each UKI class has a corresponding dedicated class website. The student is instructed
to take a short 25 to 50 question prerequisite quiz appropriate for the scheduled class.
The quiz is graded and all correct and incorrect answers are detailed and links for
further study are provided to each student. This helps to ensure all students are
entering the classroom with an understanding of the prerequisite knowledge needed to
be successful. The dedicated Training Manager reviews the prerequisite quiz results
with the client to allow the client to make any adjustments to the roster to ensure that all
of the students are properly prepared to benefit from the class.

The class website also provides a digital copy of the in-class courseware so the student
can begin reviewing the material prior to the start of the training event. Trial software
mentioned and demonstrated in class is available on the class website to allow the
students to explore the technology on their own time. Additional resources are also
available on the class website along with vendor endorsed study material preparing the
students for the certification event, if applicable, at the close of class. The instructor’s
email address as well as a dedicated Course Subject Matter Expert (SME) are available
via the class message board for each student. They may ask questions of the instructor
    or the Course SME.

    During Class Support
During each UKI course, the students are given daily quizzes. At the end of the first
day, the students are given their first take home quiz. The quiz is fill-in-the-blank based
on their notes and class material. The following day, the students turn in their take home
quiz and are given their first multiple choice quiz, similar to the format of a certification
exam. While the students are taking their morning quiz, the instructor grades the takehome
quiz and posts the results to the class website (viewable by the Training Manager
and the Client Manager). The in-class quiz is reviewed and graded and the instructor
posts those results by lunch of the same day. This process is repeated throughout the
    duration of each training event.

The take-home and in-class quizzes provide two things. First they help the instructor
identify any student that may be struggling with certain concepts and, if the entire class
is troubled by a certain topic, the instructor may re-emphasize that portion of instruction.
Second, the real-time access the Training Manager and Client Manager have to the
quiz results helps them determine the effectiveness of the class for each student and
the student can be contacted to determine an appropriate course of action (evening
    mentoring, additional homework, etc).

For all certification courses, the instructor may provide 1 to 3 nights of focused instructor
led review. This is generally a 2-hour review for the students that request assistance
and for those students identified as needing additional assistance.

    Post Class Support
Upon completion of the course, the students will have access to the class website, the
SME, as well as the instructor for follow-up questions, advice, and comments. In the
unlikely event that the student does not successfully pass a corresponding certification
exam, each student will be allowed to re-take the class as many times as necessary, at
no additional charge, as an audit seat. A Course SME will be assigned as the
student’s mentor and will review the student’s test results. Together they will develop a
plan of action that will assist the student in preparing for a re-test by concentrating on
areas that need development. This includes customized study guides, worksheets, and
sample test questions approved by the professional certifying body.

Our team is completely dedicated to the success of each class. From initial student
enrollment through the training event and certification process, we are available to the
student. It is our responsibility to ensure the individual student completely comprehends
the material and more importantly, feels comfortable using it in their day-to-day
operations of supporting the GIG. Our objective is to provide an experienced advisor to
the student who provides guidance along each step in the learning process.

    Training Effectiveness
Ultimate Knowledge Institute understands the critical requirements of effective training.
For over eleven years, the US Department of Defense and Industry has turned to our
team members for the customized and focused training required to ensure the security
and integrity of the networks and services supporting the Global Information Grid.
As noted, to ensure the effectiveness of the training presented, UKI first provides each
student with a pre-requisite quiz that they complete online before a course of
instruction begins. This quiz is specifically designed to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of each individual student. Each course pre-requisite quiz is aligned with
the baseline knowledge established by the owning certification body. This allows us to
determine, before a class begins, what the baseline knowledge level is in that particular
class. The results of the pre-requisite quiz are provided to the designated client
company POC. This immediate feedback allows the client to make any necessary
adjustment to the class population before the training begins. This information is also
provided to the instructor allowing him or her to begin their portion of the training at that
baseline without “talking over the heads” of some students.

At the end of each training event, every student is provided with the end-of-course
critique. This critique allows us to receive feedback from the student on the
effectiveness of the training and the instructor’s ability to present that training effectively
and ties directly to our Quality Assurance Plan. These critiques are reviewed by the
Training Site Manager, Executive Training Manager, the Director of Training and are
provided to the client. If an instructor is identified by the students as having been less
than effective, the Director of Training begins an internal counseling and remediation
    process to address any deficiencies.

Many of the training courses presented are designed to culminate in the professional
certification of the student. These results are also recorded, when possible, by the
Training Manager to track the effectiveness of the knowledge retention of the students.
A pass/fail record is kept on each student. Additionally, this information is also
evaluated by the Training Manager and the Director of Training to assess an instructor’s
effectiveness. These results will be provided to our client as another feedback
    mechanism to validate the training.

Ensuring the effectiveness of training is an ongoing process that is not overlooked
within UKI. Tying the effectiveness of training to our Quality Assurance Plan places
greater emphasis on not only the quality of our training, but the total effectiveness
received by the individual student and their ability to continue to support the Global

    Information Grid.

    UKI Success Rate
Ultimate Knowledge Institute currently maintains a 92% first time success rate for our
students that choose to test at the completion of a training event. We continue to
provide worldwide training to the Department of Defense and recently received a letter
of appreciation from the Department of the Navy, Chief Information Officer.

    UKI Training Record
UKI’s specific training experience demonstrates the ability to meet and exceed the
standard that most organizations are used to receiving. UKI is uniquely qualified to
provide onsite instruction at any locations required. During FY08, UKI provided in
excess of 250 courses of instruction for Department of Defense personnel and those
professional organizations supporting the DoD at locations as far away as Guam,
Okinawa Japan, Italy, and aboard US Navy vessels afloat. In the United States, UKI
training included forty different locations ranging from Hawaii to Chicopee,
Massachusetts. During calendar year 2009 UKI successfully trained over 4000
professionals. When it comes to understanding the nature and complexity of mission
critical networks, UKI has earned the distinction of being the “go-to” team that
consistently provides training at locations where others cannot. Prior to the Marine
Corps deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, members of our team provided
around the clock instruction and support in setting up and establishing their deployed
network. Our support does not stop at the end of a training event; UKI continually
provides support to deployed service men and women integrating new technology into
existing networks. The UKI workforce is available 24/7 in support of our clients and we
understand that Cyber Defense is the critical piece to ensuring the security of our
    Nation.
